Arbroath Celebrates Rabbie Burns Birthday

Posted by | Arbroath | No Comments

Little Einsteins Nursery in Arbroath celebrated the birthday of Rabbie Burns with the children. They baked shortbread, danced to Scottish music and played with Scottish themed items that had been specially selected by the staff on the “interest tables”.

Some of the children visited the library to look at the statue of Robert Burns that is in the grounds. It was a busy but fun day which enabled the children to become familiar with Scottish culture.

Planting Trees

Posted by | Kirkcaldy | No Comments

During December some of the Inventors went to Ravenscraig Park in Kirkcaldy to plant 140 trees that we received from the Woodland Trust. Mike, our gardener, showed the children how to plant the trees.

The trees were a free community pack available from the Woodland Trust. We contacted Fife Council for permission to plant the various species of trees and they set aside an area in the park for us to plant them. This project is part of the biodiversity section in our eco schools programme.
