Little Einsteins Kirkcaldy Nursery Graduates

Posted by | Kirkcaldy | No Comments

Little Einsteins Kirkcaldy Nursery held their annual graduation ceremony last week for the pre school children who will be leaving soon to start primary school in August. As usual, as well as the Graduation ceremony, the children performed a concert for their parents and families and this year’s theme was “Down on the Farm”. The children sang songs about animals and dressed up as different farm animals.

A few residents from Methven House and Camilla House nursing homes were invited to attend and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the celebration.

Red Nose Day and Mothers Day Tea at Nithsdale Nursery

Posted by | Glasgow Pollokshields | No Comments

Nithsdale Nursery organized lots of fun activities to raise cash for Red Nose Day. The staff brought in their baby pictures for the “Guess the Baby” competition which was won by Sean’s mum who correctly identified each one. Well Done Fiona!!

The raffle was won by Jessica with the prize - a delicious Malteaser cake made by Natasha’s mum. The 3 – 5′s room helped sell all the cakes and baking brought in by the parents.

All rooms carried out different activities on the day – wearing red clothes, crazy hairstyles etc as well as taking part in different sponsored activities. The 1 – 2′s and 2 – 3′s had a sponsored danceathon and the 3 – 5′s had a sponsored football match.

The monies raised are still coming in but so far the nursery has raised over £1000 – a massive amount! Well done and thanks to everyone who took part or donated for such a great cause.

Our Calvin’s In The News

Posted by | Dundee | No Comments

Calvin Ogilvie, a popular Early Years Practitioner at Little Einsteins Dundee, nursery has been hitting the headlines this week. The Evening Telegraph, Dundee’s local evening paper, featues him in their Jobs section as a man working in a role not always immediately thought of for men. Calvin also had support from Barnardo’s Scotland Works service which lead him into this role.

Calvin has already completed his SVQ3 in Childcare and although he is the only male in the team at Dundee he has found everyone to be very supportive and friendly and he thinks the boys who attend the nursery enjoy having a male member of staff around. Ashley, Manager of the Nursery said in her interview that “Calvin has slotted in very well and he is a hit with the children and their parents too”.
