Summer Fun at Little Einsteins Dundee

Posted by | Dundee | No Comments

The children at Little Einsteins Nursery in Dundee have found various activities to keep them amused over the summer.

The 2 -3 year olds have been learning all about transport and took a trip to the local bus station.

Here are the 2 – 5 year olds making the most of a dry sunny day playing with the parachute in the garden.

Our 1-2 years enjoyed playing with the tents and tunnels hiding from one another inside on a rainy day

Our 0-1 (babies) were learning all about “me”. The staff drew around each child and  asked the parents to bring in pictures from home to add to the family tree on our display board.

Summer Fun for the Discoverers at Hillside Nursery

Posted by | Glasgow Mansewood | No Comments

Although the weather hasn’t been great this summer the children in the Discoverers Room at Little Einsteins Hillside Nursery haven’t let that stop them having fun outdoors.

They enjoyed getting their waterproof clothing and wellies on to play in the pool. We added some bubbles to the water and had great fun finding out which items made the biggest splashes.

DSC03172 We harvested the runner beans we’ve been growing in the nursery garden. The children enjoyed popping the beans out of the pods and collecting them to give to the cook to add to the lunch.

Celebration Time for Irene, Careen and Kareena

Posted by | Kirkcaldy | No Comments

Three of the staff at Little Einsteins Nursery in Kirkcaldy had reason to celebrate last week. Careen Bradford (Room Leader), Irene Carstairs (Nursery Manager) and Karena Honeyman (Early Years Practitioner) have all been at the nursery for 10 years this month. On Friday 11th August the ladies celebrated this special anniversary with the children. They held an indoor barbeque (yes, it was raining that day!) and Irene made a cake for everyone to share.

The ladies each received gifts of flowers, sweets, candles and a bottle of wine from the rest of the staff. They are pictured with their certificates of achievement.

Little Einsteins Kirkcaldy Nursery Graduates

Posted by | Kirkcaldy | No Comments

Little Einsteins Kirkcaldy Nursery held their annual graduation ceremony last week for the pre school children who will be leaving soon to start primary school in August. As usual, as well as the Graduation ceremony, the children performed a concert for their parents and families and this year’s theme was “Down on the Farm”. The children sang songs about animals and dressed up as different farm animals.

A few residents from Methven House and Camilla House nursing homes were invited to attend and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the celebration.

Red Nose Day and Mothers Day Tea at Nithsdale Nursery

Posted by | Glasgow Pollokshields | No Comments

Nithsdale Nursery organized lots of fun activities to raise cash for Red Nose Day. The staff brought in their baby pictures for the “Guess the Baby” competition which was won by Sean’s mum who correctly identified each one. Well Done Fiona!!

The raffle was won by Jessica with the prize - a delicious Malteaser cake made by Natasha’s mum. The 3 – 5′s room helped sell all the cakes and baking brought in by the parents.

All rooms carried out different activities on the day – wearing red clothes, crazy hairstyles etc as well as taking part in different sponsored activities. The 1 – 2′s and 2 – 3′s had a sponsored danceathon and the 3 – 5′s had a sponsored football match.

The monies raised are still coming in but so far the nursery has raised over £1000 – a massive amount! Well done and thanks to everyone who took part or donated for such a great cause.
